Transtheme is proud to announce the sponsorship of Malaysian Endurance Rider Dr Nik Ishahak Wan Abdullah. 

Dr. Nik Isahak is one of Malaysia’s leading endurance riders.  A cardiologist by profession, Dr Nik has had a relatively short riding career.  He started riding socially in 1995 and only took to it seriously in 1998.  He rode at World Endurance Championships in the same year, taking 5 months to train an ex-racehorse to go the WEC distance! 

In his short career, Dr Nik has also ridden at the World Equestrian Games in 2002 and was a silver medalist at the 2001 SEA Games. He has also competed internationally in Endurance rides in Australia, France, Spain, U.A.E. and of course at home in Malaysia.

Dr Nik is currently preparing for a tilt at qualifying for the 2006 Aachen World Equestrian Games and Doha Asian Games.  No endurance rider has ever qualified for WEG while being based in Malaysia.  Qualifying for WEG requires a 160 km finish, no mean feat in the hot and humid Malaysian climate.  His two horses, Miss Gedebe and Jogho will have to be at their best to help him achieve this. 

Transtheme are joined by Ridley AgriProducts and the Great Hage Company of New Zealand to provide Dr Nik’s two endurance horses with a balanced and nutritious diet.  Amongst the products these horses will receive in their daily nutritional diet are StableMaster Endurance and Mix Hage.   Dr Nik’s horses will also have the benefit of the on-going consultancy of Ridley’s leading Equine Nutritionist Elizabeth Owens.

For a 52-year-old cardiologist, Dr Nik’s Aachen and Asian Games ambitions are inspirational in itself.  Transtheme has a special empathy with pioneers like Dr Nik, and we are very proud to be able to assist him in achieving his dreams.
