Syed Omar: Feeding to Succeed
Transtheme is proud to announce the feed sponsorship of Malaysian rider in Syed Omar Almohdzar.

Syed Omar is one of Malaysia’s top showjumping riders, based most of the year in Germany with Olympic 4-time Olympic champion Ludger Beerbaum.  He competes on the Western European circuit but always makes it back home to compete on the South East Asian circuit and at events such as the Asian Games.

Peter Abisheganaden, Managing Director of Transtheme said, “We had been searching for a top South East Asian rider who might be interested in a new method of advanced feeding for performance horses.  We didn’t have to look far from home.  Syed Omar is a household name in Malaysian equestrian sports, one of the best all-round riders ever to emerge from this region.  He's had Asian Games success in two disciplines and is now making it happen in Europe.  Omar is progressive in his thinking and aggressive as a rider, demanding top performances of himself and his horses.  This fits in beautifully with what we are trying to do with equine feeding at Transtheme.”

Omar’s horses have the benefit of the on-going consultancy with one of Australia’s foremost equine nutritionists, Ridley’s Equine Business Manager Elizabeth Owens.  Amongst the products Omar’s horses receive in their daily nutritional diet are StableMaster Cool Command, Endurance, Barastoc Completo, KER’s Equijewel and Mix Hage.

Syed Omar himself was very complimentary about the feed.  “My horses have been on their new feeding programmes for the last two months.  I have been able to monitor their individual progress and I am happy to say that in all four horses it has been fantastic.  Their condition is better and they are able to give me their maximum performance.  These are products that I can fully endorse.”

“I am also happy to be able to cut out feeding chaff.  I still feed long-stem fibre in the form of hay, but replacing chaff with Mix Hage has provided quite another dimension.”

The horses on this feeding regime are Digiport Cora, Petit Ann, Malibero and Lentini.  Omar's brothers Syed Mohsin and Syed Farouk also benefit from this sponsorship as they compete on these horses too.

Transtheme are joined by Ridley AgriProducts and the Great Hage Company of New Zealand to provide Syed Omar’s four Malaysian-based showjumpers with a balanced and nutritious diet.
